As of version 18, the built-in expert system already handles a variety of image editing and formatting tasks, for a new image type that automatically provides equal format sizes and equal pixel positions for comparative facial details.

EXPERTISE EXAMINER COMPACT provides instant verification and morphological analysis:

INSTANT VERIFICATION (photographic overlay) allows optical matches or discrepancies to be verified and directly established in a fraction of the time. This can be done, for example, on site by an agent in the identification service at the time of booking.

MORPHOLOGICAL ANALYSIS allows the operator to produce an anthropological report with a consistent, systematic, and scientifically comparable evaluation of facial characteristics for the purpose of expert testimony, which can be used in legal proceedings.

Different views (portrait, semi-profile or profile) can be used for the evaluation. Professional verification techniques in conjunction with advanced forensic analysis tools and markers are available to evaluate distinctive anatomical features of the face to serve as evidence to confirm or refute an identification. Extensive anthropological catalogs are available to the operator to document the specified position and feature.

With the built-in 2D-to-3D transformation, faces can be converted to 3D objects for analysis and verification in 3D mode, with automatic pose correction.
